Planitherm Comfort Plus is the ultimate IGU, using an additional coating to block out 50% of external heat from the sun on hot days while keeping in 63% more internal heat. It also delivers an even more impressive level of thermal performance with a 63% energy efficiency gain.

Rooms with lots of glass will give you a great view, but the warmth from natural daylight can make it uncomfortably hot on sunny days. Our Comfort Plus glass has a special coating designed to keep out heat from the sun’s rays, for a comfortable, bright environment and greater control of your internal temperature. It’s particularly suited to south- and west-facing rooms with sunny aspects, or larger glazed areas such as bi-fold and patio doors.
The Glass Matters
It may sound obvious, but if you’re choosing new or replacement windows for your home the most important aspect you need to consider is the glass your installer uses in them. Many people don’t.

The Planitherm Difference

Manufactured by Saint-Gobain, it uses a special coating that transforms normal glass into a material that reflects the heat you generate back into your home, rather than allowing it to escape through your windows. Planitherm Comfort and Comfort Plus glass both include a special layer that’s harder to break. Designed to protect against vandalism, it meets the official police security initiative ‘Secured by Design’ standard whenever it’s used in an approved frame.
Of course, ask your installer about the type of lock that will best suit your needs, but be sure to ask about the glass too.
